Hamilton, Bermuda — Oct 5th 2026 — Arcadian Risk Capital (“Arcadian”), the Bermuda-headquartered managing general agent (MGA), today announced plans to expand its property underwriting capabilities with the addition of a highly regarded underwriting team in Bermuda.

The team will focus on building a diverse portfolio of commercial and specialty property and facultative reinsurance, with approximately 90% of anticipated business being North America domiciled. The new portfolio will complement Arcadian’s existing London property account, which has a strong international orientation and limited U.S. catastrophe exposure.

The account will comprise approximately 70% general commercial property and 30% technical risks, with the latter focused on engineered onshore risks across power and renewables, molten metals and heavy manufacturing. The underwriting strategy prioritizes sustained profitability, anchored by rigorous risk selection, disciplined pricing, and uncompromising portfolio quality.

The team is led by Gavin Davis, a long-tenured and highly experienced professional serving as EVP, Bermuda Property D&F. Gavin brings a strong track record of underwriting performance, joining Arcadian from Hamilton Re, where he was Head of Property Underwriting and built a consistently profitable book of business over a 10+ year period. Prior to this, Gavin held senior leadership positions at Montpelier Re, Axis Capital, and Guy Carpenter.
